About Me
- Name: Leyli Behbahani
- Location: United Kingdom
I was born a few months before the Iranian revolution in 1979 and lived the first 23 years of my life in Tehran. Mainly due to sexist-social oppression and, of course, personal boredom, I left 'home' and went to Perugia (Italy) a few days before 11.9.2001. An Iranian passport was not well come nowhere, especially not in that particular moment, hence, I stayed in Italy for six years studying 'International Communications', and, procrastinating as always! I am now living in London and doing an MA in 'Gender Studies' at School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). I am a very fragmented person who tries to find a link between the very different pieces of her past life. One thing that helps me glue these together is writing, even though, what I write doesn't always make sense. I love to be the centre of attention so please feel free to comment on what you read here even if that's harsh criticizing. My English is even worse than my Italian, please be understanding and correct me if you have time and are a native speaker. If you know Farsi, check out my other blog which has, at least, less language problems but is full of others. There's a link here below.

Hi Leyli. I sent you an email, a few days ago, thru your blog and I'm not sure whether you got it or not. Sorry, I don't speak any Italian, otherwise I would have appreciated your site even more.
